My formal education is a triple major in Physics, Philosophy, and Bioengineering at the University of California, San Diego, from 2002 to 2006. My focus in philosophy is primarily in the philosophy of science, “applied philosophy”—so to speak. My interest in bioengineering is cursory, as galvanized by the whole bio hype of the era I came to age in. I have taken core graduate-level courses in Physics, so I might be considered to have knowledge in physics at the research level. Sheepishly, I admit I have not contributed anything of note in science. I've written several minor papers and parts of textbooks, but, in physics, I guess I am best known for the complete creation of GREPhysics.NET, something I did the week I was supposed to be studying for the GRE Physics.

From studying those subjects formally, I have gained the ability to abstractify and put in perspective complicated systems; I have also developed a somewhat valiant self-discipline that allows me to both tackle and finish technical and tedious tasks.

I've perused the following subjects at the research level: chaos theory, string theory, quantum information, and quantum gravity.

I am currently taking “time off” from my formal fields to pursue my (fleeting?) fascination with art, novel-writing, Shakespeare, theatre, and virtual worlds.
